Pleasant Hill Family Dentistry prides itself on being environmentally friendly and is federally compliant with the disposal of amalgam (mercury and other metals used for tooth fillings). We have invested in an amalgam separator system that allows us to safely dispose the mercury, keeping it out of local water treatment facilities. Prior to EPA making this a requirement, our office was proactive and has been disposing of mercury properly for many years.
